Pricing

Free while we're in beta. Pay for what you send after.

Volume-based pricing rolls out in the coming months. Until then, every workspace gets full access — and we're already tracking usage so there are no surprises when meters turn on.

How metering works

One meter. Counted at the edge. Visible to you in real time.

The dashboard already shows your event count, byte volume, and per-source breakdown. When billing turns on, the number you've been watching is the number you'll pay against — no recompute.

Counted at ingest

One accepted webhook = one event. Rate-limited and rejected requests don't count. Retries don't count.

UTC monthly window

Counters reset on the first of each month UTC. The dashboard shows current and previous month side by side.

Source-level breakdown

See which sources drive volume, so you can size rate limits and know what to disable if a producer goes haywire.

FAQ

Things people ask before they sign.

What counts as an event?

One accepted POST to /v1/webhooks/in. Rejected requests (bad token, oversized body, rate-limit breach) don't count. Replays of the same payload through a different route count as new events because they re-enter the pipeline.

Are retries billed?

No. We bill on ingest, not delivery attempts. If your destination fails and we retry 12 times, that's still one event. We log every attempt so you can see what's happening.

What if I exceed my monthly volume?

Nothing breaks. Axel keeps ingesting at the rate limits you set per source. We'll surface overage in the dashboard and reach out before billing changes — there's no surprise invoice.

When does pricing turn on?

We're tracking usage today so you can see it. Billing won't switch on for any beta workspace until you've had 30 days' notice and a chance to review the meter.

Want to lock in beta pricing?

Beta workspaces keep their pricing for 12 months after we exit beta. Get on the list now and you don't have to think about meters until next year.
